My Two Hotly Anticapted Summer Movies-Videos of the Day!

Everybody has summer blockbusters that they want to see. Most people would say Transformers or Star Trek. Although I do want to see them, my two must-see summer movies are Funny People and Paper Heart.

Funny People is the long-awaited collaboration between Judd Apatow and Adam Sandler. Apatow and Sandler had been friends since the early nineties but have yet work with each other. Now, Apatow is the new name for instant hit comedy while Sandler has been somewhat struggling over the past couple of years to redefine his image as he gets older and more mature (I never thought I was used the words Sandler and mature in the same sentence.) The Apatow Mafia (as I like to called them) is along for the ride and early screeners have fallen in love with this movie. Can't wait to see it. See what you think!

Paper Heart was one of the darlings of the Sundance Film Festival with the star/screenwriter Charlyne Yi winning the screenwriting award at the festival. I have a feeling this is going to be one of the movie experiences that you will never forget. Charlyne goes on a trip across America to find out what love is to different people. However, the documentary halts when Charlyne goes to LA and meets and falls in love with Michael Cera (Charlyne's real life boyfriend. Say with me, NO!!!!!!!!). I don't think this movie will do well in the box office simply because mainstream America can't classify it. But, I feel that this can become a cult hit in a couple of years. Check this indie darling out!
