"Dreamers Make Their Own Permission"-Dorm Life 221

For those who haven't seen it, here it is.
Dorm Life Episode 221 - Blood, Sweat, and Tears

For those who have seen it:
This week in Dorm Life
I titled the blog because this episode focused on the three biggest dreamers of the floor: Court, Josh and Steph. The title "Blood, Sweat, and Tears" even refers to these three's struggles in the episode

Court=Blood- Court is holding a blood drive for Chi Chi Chi (or XXX if you will, this still cracks me up) that is titled Take 5 Blood Drive (with someone putting in "For My", cough Court). This is her grand scheme to redeem her philantrophy chair position after losing it for her scandalous "Strip for Single Mothers" brought the wrath of the national organization. However as Britt points out, it seems to be shady as there no Red Cross or advisiors for XXX there to help out. It seems like Court and some of the other XXX girls are the ones taking the blood which is as scary as it sounds. Court is the bouncer of the blood drive kicking out Kate for kissing famous people, Abby for being around livestock, Gopher for going to Africa (which is a legit reason), some redshirt girl for not knowing her last name, and almost Andy for not having sexual intercourse with another man. Of course we got to see the long anticipated interview between Shane and Court that was seen in the trailer and Danny B. as a a blood drop. Court is holding the blood drive in the conjuction with the screening of "Return to Dormalcy" which brings us to ....

Josh=Sweat- The long awaited debut of Josh's "documentary" has come. However, Josh isn't excited for having to rely on ten hours of Abby's toilet camera. But, he knows that 5 South will like it like they did with his play "Come Today". Poor, poor self-deluded Josh. The documentary was a flop but very very Josh. I am not going to explain the craziness of that because I think you have to be on illegal substances to get what is going on with that. The ending blow is that Josh is wearing a banana hamock throughout this so it's like a double blow.

Steph=Tears- So, we finally got to see Steph back on the floor after her epic fall down the stairs in "Abby's Party". Steph has stayed broken up with Marsh. Unfortunately, she is in a wheelchair with two broken tibias but the doctors are pleased with her optimism. Steph even says that sometimes you have to sit down to stand up for yourself. She is even letting her floormates play "Steph-bowling" using her as the ball. Court, very concerned for being Court, asked them to stop. Steph then acts totally different and is totally mean to Court for belittling Steph in front the floor. She calls a destructive force and a bad event planner due to the blood drive flopping. This is totally uncalled for because Marsh is pretty much the guilty person in this because Court didn't realize it was Marsh until Britt told her.

Other 5-South News
Lacey is still jealous of Danny B. hanging around Court.
Marsh uses propecia.
Shane has had sexual relations with a man before 1977.
Mike might have crabs from Court (?)
Britt dressed up like a vampire to promote the blood drive to help out.
Gopher and Abby looked cozy during Gopher's interview.
The blood donated went to a shady guy in a beat-up car.
Josh did his own blood donation.
Josh was also in the tent with Mike in "The Camp-Out" and was aggravating him while filming. This provoked Mike into doing his infamous rant.

My Thoughts
This is basically a love song to Court. If you didn't love her before now, you fell in love with her in this episode. We hadn't seen a lot of her this semester and when we did see her, it was helping out Danny B. So, it was kind of nice to see do something just for her. However, they had to throw in the documentary into this episode. I wanted to see the documentary but maybe a couple episodes from now. I have hated Josh this whole semester and the documentary didn't help matters much. I feel that due to Josh's doc, Steph got sidestepped with her grand return to the floor. Is Steph going to be the same old Steph or the new Steph we just got a taste of in this episode? It was nice to see them give Mike, Britt, Danny B., Shane, Gopher, and Marshall a break for this episode when a lot of the episodes this season have been so them-heavy.

Overall, I feel this around the middle of the pack for this season. It is not as good as Frat Party or Parents Weekend but it is not as bad as some of the first episodes. Too much Josh, not enough Court.
