And I love it!!! I wasn't really expecting much from this show because I love vampire lore, I will be the first one to admit it. With that in mind, Buffy and Angel are among my top ten favorite tv shows and True Blood is a guilty pleasure of mine. So, where does TVD (as Tumblr fans enjoy calling it) fall for me? As of right now, where I am currently making my way towards the end of Season 1, I think it falls in a happy medium between the two shows for me. True Blood is not a solid show anymore but it is still a fun show to watch for all the of the shirtless men running around. You get that with TVD. Buffy and Angel has characters you like and fairly intricate backstories for a lot of the characters. You get that with TVD. TVD also has some great acting from the main love triangle...oops I meant trio. I knew two of them (Nina and Ian) from before the show started with their previous tv shows (Degrassi: TNG and Lost respectively) and wasn't really impressed. Boy, did that change! I also like the fact that yes, these vampires do brood a lot but they are also have to some life and some character....So, so far, my feelings are that TVD is a good show with a lot of potential and we'll see how I feel next week....My only complaint is that so far, Bonnie is useless. (What is up with modern vampire stories and whiny black female best friends?)

I'm Watching The Vampire Diaries....
And I love it!!! I wasn't really expecting much from this show because I love vampire lore, I will be the first one to admit it.
